ROPING RULES
PRCA dress code is in effect except for the hat rule; it’s either cowboy hat or no hat. Your shirt must be tucked in. You will be flagged out for violation of the dress code rule. The 5 second barrier will be used for both headers and heelers. 3 legal head catches; around the horns, neck, or half head. You will be able to fish out a front leg before the steer gets to the catch pen. The rest of the rules will follow USTRC rules. Please be ready to rope when you’re up, we do not want to turn anybody out for any reason. The flaggers have the final say in giving a new steer, or a new run. We want this to be as fair as possible to each and every roper.
